The First Annual Creative Flea

The holidays tend to bring a lot of pressure to the already full plates of us in the design world. While certificates to Chili’s might be okay for your CPA cousin to give out, your gifts call for a bit more creativity. Now, you can shake that monkey off your back with AIGA DFW’s First Annual Creative Flea at Oil & Cotton in the Bishop Arts District.

Give the unexpected — buy great goods made by your friends from the local design community. Get your holiday portrait taken at our photo booth by past AIGA DFW president Bo Parker. Nibble some home baked goodies from our student chapters. So far our participating artists include Color Box Design & Letterpress, Studio 204Lunch Buddies Press, UNT CDA, Richard Koehler, Design Pastime, ArtifactureWest End Social Club, Brandon Griswald, Erik Schuessler, Frames By Jewell, Brian Gibb and more. Check back soon for artist updates as our list is growing.

AIGA DFW’s First Annual Creative Flea takes place December 10, 2011 from 1pm – 6pm, and admission is free for members and nonmembers.

Interested in selling your own goods? Contact Frances at communications@dallas.aiga.org by November 30 to sign up.

PS – After the Creative Flea ends, find more crafty goodies at Oil & Cotton’s 2nd Annual Holiday Mercantile, and explore the Bishop Arts district — home to over 60 independent boutiques, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, galleries and theaters.
