Park House and AIGA DFW present an evening with legendary rock photographer Mick Rock, in celebration of his recent exhibition ICONS at The Public Trust. The discussion will be moderated by the exhibition’s co-curator Kendall Morgan with an accompanying slideshow and a book signing of Rock’s TASCHEN release, The Rise of David Bowie, 1972-1973. Doors are at 6 PM, talk starts at all 6:30 sharp.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mick Rock is often referred to as “The Man Who Shot the Seventies,” for his iconic images of Syd Barrett, David Bowie, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Queen, the Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Blondie and Rocky Horror Picture Show. London born, he has resided in New York for the past 35 years. He has shot over 100 album covers. His recent subjects include Snoop Dogg, Father John Misty, Lenny Kravitz, Janelle Monaie, Jimmy Fallon, The Black Keys, Alicia Keys, Daft Punk, Pharrell, Josh Groban, Nas, Rufus Wainwright, Kings of Leon, The Black Lips and Queens of The Stone Age among others. His latest publication The Rise of David Bowie 1972-1973, (TASCHEN Books, published September 2015) featured a spectacular limited edition co-signed with Bowie, which sold out just before David’s death. A documentary about his career, produced by Vice Films and Straight Up Films, called SHOT!, was launched at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2016 and is currently streaming on Netflix. He has had major exhibitions in Tokyo, Toronto, London, Liverpool, Berlin, Manchester, New York, Oslo, Gothenburg, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Sao Paolo, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Toulouse and most recently in Dallas at The Public Trust.
